Dr. Melissa Donofrio

Melissa was born in Philadelphia and raised in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. She earned her B.S. in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Villanova University in 1992, before continuing her education at Temple University, where she received her DMD in 1996. Following this, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at UConn Dental School from 1996 to 1998.

In 1999, Melissa married Dr. Turtoro, and together, they have built both a personal and professional life. She joined EFD in 2005, where she has continued to contribute her expertise and passion for patient care.

Dr. Donofrio resides in Old Lyme with her husband Dr. Peter Turtoro, two children, Oliva and Nicholas, and dog Chewie.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys traveling and dedicates her time to volunteering with various school organizations and charitable causes. Her commitment to both her profession and community makes her a valued member of the EFD team.
